On June 2008 the production site of the AMALATTEA Group received UNI EN ISO 22000:2005 certification for food safety management systems.
This important recognition, issued by Det Norske Veritas, is the result of the company’s commitment to adopt more and more rigorous safety standards in a sector that has changed significantly over the past few years, with the renewal of zootechnical resources, a powerful drive towards technological innovation and a growing market demand for goat’s milk.
The Galydhà plant is the first facility to obtain ISO 22000 certification for food safety management in the goat’s milk sector, with the production of uht goat’s milk that meets consumers’ expectations in terms of hygienic and sanitary standards and risks, and with regard to the improvement of the milk’s functional and sensory characteristics.
The ISO 22000 certification is yet further evidence of the Group’s commitment towards customer satisfaction, with the adoption of the most advanced hygienic and sanitary measures and the implementation of the best international standards in the production process, from raw materials to the finished product.
